White Church Cemetery
Franklin Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania

From Waynesburg, take Route 218 South. Follow Route 218 South approximately 2.7 miles. Turn right onto Portal Road and follow approximately 1 mile until it comes to a "T" intersection with White Ridge Road. White Church Cemetery (New) will be on your right at the intersection. Turn left onto White Ridge Road and follow a very short distance. White Church Cemetery (Old) will be on your right next to a private driveway.

The old cemetery is located on the Franklin and Center Township line, but officially it is considered to be located in Franklin Township. The cemetery is in very poor condition and is not maintained. Burials do not occur here any longer. I found 16 stones that were either fallen, illegible or unmarked fieldstones.

I walked the cemetery on 04 Apr 2007. This transcription is complete and includes all existing stones. I also have digital photographs of all the stones as well as many views of the cemetery itself and would share them with anyone interested.
