Contributed by Gary L Caldwell, Apr 25, 2010, last edited Dec 16, 2010 [caldwell.gary@gmail.com]. Total records = 46.

To reach the Oak Grove Cemetery from Centerville PA, drive north on Route 481 for 1.26 mi. After passing Pike Run Drive on the right when Rte 481 curves west, continue west onto Laurel Road as Rte 481 turns north and continue west for about .07mi. The cemetery will be on the left or south side of Laurel Road.

This cemetery was established by Eli Griffith in about 1845 on 2.75 acres of land. At one time there was a Presbyterian Church on the south side of the land. The church no longer exists but is shown on maps.

This data was collected by the DAR and found in the genealogy section of the Washington PA library. The data is from 1938 so the burial records may not be complete.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
