Fort Randall, Gregory County, South Dakota

Lat: 43° 01' 40"N, Lon: 98° 36' 59"W

Contributed by Jean Anderson, Sep 29, 2008, last edited Oct 27, 2008 [adrywall@mit.midco.net]. Total records = 62.

This cemetery is on County Road 56, 3.2 miles west of the Fort Randall Cemetery. County Road 56 intersects with Hwy 18/281 to the NW. The cemetery is situated just north of the original town.

The town or Fort Randall no longer exists. The only thing that remains is the remnants of an old military fort.

As one can see by interments, this cemetery is seldom utilized, but it does have an occasional burial.

This cemetery record is the result of a walk through of this small, well maintained cemetery. The record contains only visible burials, completed on Sep 28, 2008.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
