From the city of Elizabethton, TN. take Hwy 19E/321S to Hampton. Turn left onto Hwy 321S/67 toward Mtn. City, Boone, NC. It is about half a mile on the right after you pass the Union Baptist Church on the left.

This cemetery is on land which was originally owned by Loy C. Carden and it has remained in the Carden family to this date. Renovation of this cemetery was completed in August of 2004.

The cemetery is located on a hill to the right of the Donnie Carden home, and Donnie is the one who maintains the cemetery.

In March of 2007 it now a sign at the entrance stating, Carden Cemetery, which is on an asphalt road. The road leads to a parking lot that is fenced on three sides. The third side is open and leads to the cemetery.
