Travel from either Coolidge or Prairie Hill on FM 73. Turn onto FM 341 and travel north for about 2.7 miles. Turn east onto Limestone County Road 150. The cemetery is located about one mile on the left.

In 1899, E.R. Herring (1835-1906) set aside land out of his farm as a burial ground for the small settlement of Delia. His wife, L.E. (1847-1901), was laid to rest here shortly thereafter. The earliest dated grave is that of a three-year-old Katie Roberts Stone, who died in 1900.

The cemetery is fenced and the grounds are being maintained. It is still accepting new burials. The graves in the cemetery include veterans of World War I and World War II as well as other prominent community and county leaders.

The records were compiled in April 2002 by Bruce and Linda Jordan, from the tombstones and represents all the people in this cemetery who have a marker.

    cemetery records

A free online library of cemetery records from thousands of cemeteries across the world, for historical and genealogy research.

    Clear Digital Media, Inc.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
