Heck Cemetery
Groesbeck, Limestone County, Texas

Lat: 31° 32' 58"N, Lon: 96° 39' 03"W

Contributed by Bruce Jordan, Oct 16, 2004 [bjordan@glade.net]. Total records = 23.

From Groesbeck go west on Highway 164 approximately 6 miles to LCR 390 turn right. Go about 1.6 miles to LCR 384 turn left. Go about.5 mile to the end of the road where there is a locked gate.

Go over gate and walk straight ahead about .3 mile till you come to a gate on your left. Turn left and you will be able to see the cemetery straight ahead in a grove of trees. This cemetery is on private property, so one should get permission.

The oldest marker here is of L. T. Arnold buried in 1869. The newest marker here is of Ada Tackitt buried in 1933. Occasionally the cemetery is cleaned and mowed by interested citizens. New burials are not being accepted.

I compiled these records after reading this cemetery in March of 2004. It includes all existing headstones.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
