This listing was contributed by Bruce & Morna McHargue [bruceamc@bellsouth.net].  Total records = 32.

Notes on Reynolds Cemetery:  According to the Reynolds Bible in the possession of Mrs. W. R. Jones of Alice, Texas, the first burial in this cemetery was of Charles, infant son of George and Hannah REYNOLDS. Charles was born Feb. 7, 1868 and died Feb. 13, 1868. The next burial was of Edward TAYLOR, George's uncle who came from England about the same time as George (1854). According to the Almond Diary, Joseph Almond, their friend and neighbor, built the coffin and read the services for "Uncle Ned" on May 2, 1873. These graves are unmarked, but a low wooden post at the northwest corner is said to be a burial marker for a family member.

This cemetery was legally recorded in a partition deed drawn up by the Reynolds family Aug. 23, 1899, assigning the acre plot for the perpetual use of all Reynolds descendants. It has been in use from the family's first arrival on this original homestead property about 1867-68.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
