From Buckingham Courthouse: Proceed south on Rt 633 to Willis River. Cross the river and lying to the right (west) side of Rt 633 is "Rockmill Farm", Cemetery is located adjacent to & south of Farm house in a field on the west side of Rt 633.

The originally was the estate of Nathaniel Lancaster, and this is their private burial site. It only has the stone for him and his daughter with a stone. There might be others buried here.

It is situated in a farmfield, northwest of the intersection of Hwy 609 and 633 in the community of Areanum VA. Cemetery was in good condition. The land is now owned by the Steve Rainey family.

I walked this cemetery in 1980. This includes all existing and legible markers and stones at that time.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
