The church and cemetery are located in northern King and Queen County, Virginia near the crossroads of Newtown and Helmet on Bradley Farm Rd. (Rt. 635) just north of its intersection with Newtown Rd. (Rt. 721).

This cemetery is in a sparsely populated, rural, agricultural area. It is still in use and very well maintained, probablyby the church staff, congregation and descendents. There are two sections at this location, a large one in a field across the street from the church and a smaller one behind the church.

My mother Criss Faison and I walked and photographed this cemetery at Upper King and Queen Baptist Church on Nov 21, 2007. It was our intent to record all of the visible, marked graves on that date.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
