Travel west from Chatham, Va. on SR57, turn south (left) on Rt. 750, go appox. 2 miles, turn west (right) on Rt. 813 for 3/4 mi. Cemetery is on dirt driveway about 50 yards from Rt. 813. From Banister VA take Hwy 750 north about a mile, turning west on Rte 813, same as previous.

This cemetery contains the remains of P.M. Goggin, his first wife Nancy C. Stone and five of their seven children.

Cemetery is small, about 25 X 25 feet enclosed by wire fence, with only seven burials in it. The plot does not receive regular care and was badly overgrown and it is not being used currently.

I visited this cemetery and the tombstones were recorded May 8, 2004.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
