To reach the cemetery in Nespelem from Hwy 155, turn west to the
fairgrounds and continue just past the community center. Take a
left at the creek, then a quick left up the hill for about a half-mile.
The cemetery is at the top of the hill enclosed in a tribal fence.
I have visited this cemetery twice. There was no name on the
cemetery so I first gave it the name of the oldest or first burial
listed with a stone. Sanmuth Cemetery.
I later received correspondence that it was called the Little
Bob Cemetery. The contact person is Mabel Jake at 509-633-1854.
The cemetery is maintained by family of those buried here.
It appears to still be burying but not too recent. I could not
tell how many burial spots were without identification, nor was
I able to find more information on who else might be buried here.
I visited this cemetery on Jul 24, 2003, using my digital camera.
I am willing to share photos.
