Total records = 1,660.
This cemetery is located west of the Okanogan River about 1½ miles north
of the town of Tonasket, on Hwy #7. From town you will know you are on the
right road as soon as you cross over the river on a bridge. The cemetery
will be on your right and easy to spot.
I walked the cemetery on July 20-21, 2001, and have transcribed from
this reading. I have also compared my readings with Okanogan County
Cemetery Records, pub. 1991 by OCGS. I have placed an asterisk after
each of the entries added from their work. This means there either was
no marker or they were unreadable.
As far as I can find out this cemetery is owned and maintained
by the city of Tonasket, under a cemetery board, with contact
info above. Names added after the initial reading are from obits.
I used my digital camera for the largest part of the headstone
reading. The last section I had to read by hand, ran out of
batteries. This means I do not have photos for all, but am
very willing to share any I do have. completed 2001.
