Stubblefield Cemetery
Walla Walla County, Washington

East of Walla Walla off Foster Road on the North side of the hill.

Lat: 46°02'16"N, Lon: 118°13'49"W
Sec 31 T7N R37E

Contributed by Rella Gleaton Aug 14, 2001 [rella@ultraplix.com]. Total records = 34.

Going East out of Walla Walla on Russell Creek Road travel 3 1/2 miles to the intersection of Foster Road. Turn South on Foster Road going 1/2 mile. Looking to the West you can see the trees of the cemetery on the hilltop.

Walk 1/2 mile West through the field as the cemetery road has been plowed up to prevent further vandalism.

In November 1999 we found this cemetery to be terribly vandalized and overgrown with weeds. Walked and read by Rella and Jim Gleaton Nov 19, 1999. The headstones with an asterisk (*) were read about 1982. The previous reading was supplied by Garland Wilson, an area historian. Transcribed by Rella Faris Gleaton Nov 23, 1999.

Earliest burial - 1863
Last recorded burial - 1920

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
