To reach this cemetery, take the main highway north out of Oakesdale,
then a right at the Y toward Tekoa. It will be an immediate left
turn up a hill into the cemetery.
The cemetery is said to be about 8 acres in size, situated about
½ mi north of town, outside the city limits, according
to the sign on the road. I suspect it is considered the rural
area of Oakesdale. There is no sign telling you the name of the
cemetery, for some reason.
This cemetery is owned and maintained by the Oakesdale Cemetery

There were a few markers which were difficult to read. An asterisk
* has been placed after a small number of names I included which
I found in another reading, pub. in 1972 in the Whitman County
Tombstone Inscriptions, Vol. 1. I cannot vouch for their accuracy.
I walked this cemetery Aug 21 and 27, 2002, plus a return to redo
one section on Oct 28, 2002. I have digital photos of all readable
headstones of those in existence at that time.
