Cemetery Location & History

Note: this cemetery is currently located on private property with no public access.

From Montello go north and west on CTH B to 11th Rd; then north .3 mile from CTH B on 11th Rd.; cemetery is approximately 100 yards straight north in small woods. The cemetery is surrounded by farm fields and Christmas trees, and at the time this transcription was created, was fenced and in poor condition, with seven large oak trees within its small confines.

Historically, there had been a public right-of-way leading to the cemetery created in 1917, but in recent years the right-of-way was not renewed, and now there is no public access. The State Historical Society had at one time listed this cemetery in its inventory but has since retracted the cataloging, probably due to its falling into private hands..

From the condition of the ground, it is apparent that there are several more graves with no markings.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
