Contributed by Kathy Waddell, Nov 02, 2007, last edited Aug 14, 2011 [kaffe03@yahoo.com]. Total records = 1,933.

This cemetery is located about 1/4 mile north of Hwy 14 (just east of its junction with Hwy 23) on Hwy 60, on left side of the road in the north side of the community of Spring Green.

The rows were numbered from south to north. There are two driveways that go into the cemetery off Hwy 60. The east section is to the right and the west section is to the left. The center section is between the two driveways. Each section is numbered by a division, one thru 5. Driveways that go between the two main driveways break up the divisions. Division 1 is nearest the highway, division 5 is the farthest back. I have identified the graves by row number, section then division. This means if it says, Row 4W4, it means it is in the 4th row in the 4th division of the western section. There are current burials in the cemetery maintained by the Spring Green Cemetery Association.

There is a chapel onsite. Very small but I assume is used for funeral services. Without the additions of the new sections in the back, it is in the northeast corner.

Reference used to verify markers not there or unreadable was taken from information obtained by members of the Wisconsin Old Cemetery Society when the cemetery was originally copied in August, 1978.

I first walked, copied & verified this cemetery on Sep 20, 2003. Emily Fichter and I re-walked and updated it on Oct 26, 2007.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
