Spring Green, Sauk County, Wisconsin

Lat: 43° 10' 33"N, Lon: 90° 04' 40"W
Spring Green Township, Section 12

Contributed by Kathy Waddell, Nov 02, 2007 [kaffe03@yahoo.com]. Total records = 1,304.

Location: County G south of Hwy 14. Road turns into Wood Street. Go past High School on the right and over railroad tracks. Turn right on Madison Street (at stop sign). Cemetery is about 1/4 to 1/2 mile on the right.

This cemetery is owned and maintained by Saint John Roman Catholic Church of Spring Green. It was copied in blocks. Location of the markers will be identified by the row number followed by the block. For example: 8SW means the Southwest block, row 8.

Reference used to verify markers not there or unreadable was taken from information obtained by members of the Wisconsin Old Cemetery Society when the cemetery was copied in May 03, 1978.

I first walked, copied & verified this cemetery on Sep 27, 2003. Emily Fichter and I re-walked and updated it on Oct 21, 2007.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
