Saint Patrick Cemetery
Bear Creek Township, Sauk County, Wisconsin

Lat: 43°20'42"N, Lon: 90°06'25"W
Bear Creek Twp, Sec 14

Contributed by Kathy Waddell, Aug 10, 2003 [kaffe03@yahoo.com]. Total records = 588.

Location: Just west of the intersection of County G & GG on the northside of the road. North of the village of Plain.

Burials are divided by a driveway. The Eastern section is the older and the newer burials are in the Western section. Burial locations will be by Row # plus E or W. There are current burials in this cemetery which is next to Saint Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

This cemetery was originally copied by members of the Old Wisconsin State Cemetery Association on Oct 26, 1975 and updated Oct 1984. It was these records I used to verify hard to read stones and stones that were no longer there.

This cemetery is also known as New Loreto; Loreta Roman Catholic Cemetery (spelling of Loreto varies); and New St. Patrick.

Emily Fichter and I surveyed and recopied this cemetery on Jun 22, 2003.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
