Stafford Cemetery
Monongalia County, West Virginia

Lat: 39° 39' 27"N, Lon: 79° 54' 56"W, approx.

Contributed by Sarah K. Holt, Jan 19, 2005 [sarahkholt@yahoo.com]. Total records = 5.

Cemetery is located Mile North of Easton on US 119. The cemetery is located among a group of trees behind the Brooks Farmhouse.

This abandoned cemetery is located on private land and is in terrible condition. The headstones are almost completely worn off and they have fallen over and are partially buried.

I transcribed this cemetery in Apr 2004. The information was compiled by tombstone inscriptions and later comparing my findings with a previous transcription done for the County in the 1930s.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
