Bess Family Cemetery
Putnam County, West Virginia

Contributed by Gary Bess [GBess26019@aol.com].  Total records = 7.

The following list contain the information that I have been able to piece together about the Bess Family Cemetery.

In the spring of 1998 I found the Cemetery located across the road and up the hill at 2200 Poplar Fork Rd. in Putnam Co. W. Va. (Latitude 38 degree 29 minutes and a Longitude 81 degree 57 minutes) I was able to locate 13 grave sites with field stone used as markers and some were just sunken graves. One grave has a marker this was for the grave of Hattie Hanshaw with the year of birth and death.

The following is a list of people that I have found to be buried in this Cemetery information came from the Court House at Winfield, WV.

If I can be of more help please let me know.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
