Crooks Cemetery
Belleville, Wood County, West Virginia

Contributed by Teresa Fordyce, Aug 11, 2003, last edited Jul 16, 2007 [s82c43@verizon.net]. Total records = 18.

Take Rt. 68 South out of Lubeck to Lee Creek Road (across from the entrance to the Belleville Locks and Dam). The cemetery is on the left side of the road just after you turn onto Lee Creek Road.

This is an abandoned cemetery that is no longer used or maintained. It is overgrown with weeds, and some of the stones are in very bad shape.

This is a complete reading of all existing headstones from when I walked and transcribed this cemetery on Aug 10, 2003.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
