Contributed by Barry Stephenson, May 31, 2004, last edited Dec 15, 2004 [barry.stephenson@homemail.com.au]. Total records = 8.

The cemetery is on private property called "The Briars", which is 16.3 klms from Bungendore on the Captains Flat Road.

This is a private family cemetery, which is located on private property. It is best to contact the property owners in advance for permission if you wish to visit the cemetery.

Most of the burials are of the Shanahan Family original owners of the property. Information on burials have come from death certificates and headstones. Nine names appear on headstones. Other family members are buried in the Bungendore cemetery.

I walked and read this cemetery in May of 2004.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
