Cemetery History

Alto Reste Cemetery was created in 1955 and was originally a privately owned cemetery. The property was sold by Eventide Funeral Chapels to the City of Red Deer in 1976. The city bought the cemetery after burial plots in its main cemetery, "Red Deer Cemetery" was nearing full capacity.
