Mary's Harbour Cemetery

To reach Mary's Harbour you must take the road 510 East from St-Barbe/Blanc Sablon ferry for about 200km. To go the the cemetery, take the sandy road facing the Riverlodge Hotel for about 500 feet. You will easily see the cemetery on your right.

Mary's Harbour, a coastal village of Labrador located in a deep bay, was founded around 1930. Its population of about 450 people is largely due to the moving in of people of Battle Harbour who where forced to leave their village when the Newfoundland and Labrador Government closed it around 1960.

I visited and read this cemetery in Jul of 2002. It includes all existing and legible stones and markers.
