To reach this cemetery, take Colborne Street West, a.k.a. Highway 53, from Brantford, and travel west to the village of Burford. At the main intersection in Burford, there are traffic lights there, turn left and travel 1 block south on Maple Avenue and the cemetery is on your left, the east side of Maple Avenue South.
This cemetery is considered as inactive. It is an old cemetery with many of the old slab type tombstones. There is some evidence of vandalism, broken stones etc. The cemetery comes under the jurisdiction of and it is maintained by the Corporation of the County of Brant.
I walked this cemetery in the Fall of 2006, reading and recording the inscription on each and every tombstone and or marker that I was able to read in order to complete the transcription process.
