Thirty Road Cemetery

The cemetery is located at the southwest corner of Elm Tree Road and Thirty Road.

This was a an abandoned cemetery, the Maintenance of which, was taken over by the Town of Grimsby, in accordance the the Ontario Cemeteries act. Town employees have taken rubbings off of the memorials in order to get the information which is listed. There are no more burials taking place in this cemetery.

As I understand it, this cemetery belonged to a church at one time. Although other people are buried in this cemetery, the original records are not in our possession. It is believed this cemetery belonged to a church, which was abandoned, therefore taken over by the municpality.
