To reach this cemetery, begin from the intersection of Hwy 53 and Hwy 24, west of Brantford, travel south on Hwy 24, through Brant County. Continue into Norfolk County, several kilometres, watch for a road sign on your right, indicating Norfolk Rd 19, West, Vanessa, turn right on to Norfolk Rd 19, West, travel approximately 9 kilometres to the village of Vanessa. There is a stop sign there. On your left, at the stop sign, is the Vanessa United Church. The cemetery is located beside and to the rear of the church.
This cemetery is under the management of the Vanessa Cemetery Board. It is very well maintained and it is still active. There is space for future burials. A few older stones could not be read.
I walked this cemetery in June, 2006, reading and recording each tombstone and or grave marker that could be read in order to complete the transcription process.
