Five Leagues Cemetery
Bonne Esperance, Duplessis, Quebec
Contributed by Charles Gravel, Feb 02, 2006 [charles_gravel@hotmail.com]. Total records = 10.
To get to the cemetery, you must follow the road 138W to Middle Bay. About 1000 feet after the end of the village, there is a small trail that allows you to reach the bay, after walking about 30 minutes. The cemetery is on a small hill on your left facing the ocean but you might need some help to find it.
This wild cemetery is located on the east of Five Leagues Bay on a site that was used by people to process oil from whales many years ago. Nowadays, a few inhabitants of the region visit and camp there but only in summer.
I compiled this transcription in October of 2000.
