Cemetery History

This area was in Shefford County until the counties were dissolved and replaced by MRC's. Now it is part of La Haute-Yamaska in the Montérégie region.

This Catholic parish was created in 1865. It is a mix of old and new and a mix of English and French Canadians. It covers a wide area and runs along a section of Lake Waterloo.

Cemetery Records

Records published below were transcribed from monument inscriptions by Leslie and Susan Nutbrown during a visit to the cemetery in 2020. Also included are 837 burials transcribed from church records for graves without monuments.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
