Old Winton Cemetery is situated possibly within 1km of Winton's town centre, is within walking distance if need be.
This is where the notable baby-killer [Minnie Dean] who was first woman hanged in NZ is buried. Her grave is not marked and she is not buried with other folk. There are many very early settler's family graves here with lavish headstones.
