Burials in Logie Cemetery are administered by Stirling Council, Scotland. Note: This document includes both the Old Churchyard and Present-day Churchyard.
Cemetery History
Logie Kirk (Church) dates back to 1380. The original church lies about 500 meters to the northwest of the present-day site. The present-day church was built in 1805.
The original church still has its own cemetery (churchyard). In 1901 the present-day churchyard was extended to make room for more burials.
Stirling Council Records
Records below were acquired from Stirling Council on April 29, 2020. These records were compiled by the Council on April 8, 2020. They include dates of burial from 1755 to 2020.
These records include burials from both the original church and present-day church. They also include the extensions to the present-day churchyard, as well as the outlying areas that most people refer to as the cemetery.
Stirling Council uses the "Section" to denote these areas. Note that the Council staff used inconsistent labeling, and made a poor effort to separate the two churchyards....
- KIRK = Old churchyard and present-day churchyards
- CEM = outlying cemetery area of present-day churchyard
- CYARD = present-day churchyard
- CYX = present-day churchyard extention
- NEWX = present-day churchyard extention
- HISTCY = old churchyard
- O/CYD = old churchyard
Dates below are presented in (dd/mm/yyyy) format.
