From Florence, Alabama go north on Alabama Hwy. 17, turn left on County Road 11 and travel about 1.7 miles and turn right on County Rd. 139. The Nolen cemetery is located between Alabama State Hwy. 17 and Lauderdale County Rd. 7 just off County Rd. 11 on County Rd. 139, a dirt road.

The cemetery is approximately .1 of a mile on the right in an open field about 300 feet off the road with access through a farm gate. It has a fence around it and is well cared for by volunteers.

This cemetery is reported to have been known as the Emory Cemetery in years past. Later, it became known as the Nolen Cemetery, as the Nolen family owned the farm. It is not known if there are Emory's or Nolen's buried here.

There are many, many graves in this cemetery with no markers. Several have stone markers with no inscriptions.
