Directions to the cemetery from Interstate 85 North in Montgomery, Alabama. Take the Taylor Road exit, follow Taylor Road to mile marker 1, The housing area is Taylor Lakes, take a right, go through the gates, go around the circle to the left and follow until you see the cemetery on the right.

We had the cemetery placed on the Alabama Historic Cemetery Register in Aug 2008. We have been unable to find the owner of the property. It sits within 500 yards of a neighborhood. It is a.k.a Jason G Jones Family Cemetery, maps call it Jones Cemetery. First known burial 1846.

The cemetery has recently been placed on the Alabama Historical Cemetery Preservation List. The cemetery is in a very fragile state. Many of the headstones have been partially destroyed or completely destroyed, it is noted beside each grave listing.

My sisters and I try to go to the cemetery once or twice a year to pick up fallen limbs and debris as best we can. We walked and updated a prior list in Oct 2008.
