Smith Creek Cemetery Records
Garland County, Arkansas

Located in Garland County near the Hot Spring County line. The cemetery is near Smith Creek Missionary Baptist Church off Hwy 128 near the Owensville Road and Lonsdale, Arkansas.

Very old and many stones marked by slate and field stones in the past, however the association unknown to many descendant of the dead removed the stones and replaced them with cinder blocks a few years ago. This has caused a hinderance in identifying the names to go with graves. There around 200 graves and it is active.

Smith Creek Missionary Baptist Church was formed in the 1860's on the bank of Smith Creek by several women of various relationships including Rigsby and Warford. One woman was Louisa Rigsby who is buried in the cemetery.
