From North Little Rock, Arkansas take Highway 365 north towards the community of Oak Grove. Pass thru Oak Grove and continue on Highway 365 approximately 2-3 miles to Clinton Road. This area is known as Marche'. Turn right onto Clinton Road. Go about 1/2 mile and turn right onto James Road. James Cemetery is approx. 7/10 mile down the road on the left (north) side of the road.

This cemetery is named for the James family that lived on this road over 100 years ago. The road is also named for this family. The cemetery lies on private property, within a 3 acre fenced area that is used for grazing horses. The cemetery is not maintained and is overgrown with weeds, trees, etc. It is not accepting new burials.

I surveyed this cemetery Feb 11, 1996 and compiled these records from the tombstone markers that are standing. I live across the street from the cemetery.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
