Otis Cemetery
Yermo, San Bernardino County, California
Lat: 34°54'54.8"N, Lon: 116°47'52.6"W

Otis Cemetery is located just outside the town of Yermo. To get there, head north along Interstate 15, and exit off of Minneola Road. Turn left. Just on the other side of the freeway overpass, turn left on to a service road (dirt road) that parallels the freeway. The service road will eventually bear right and follows the power lines. About a half-mile, you will come to an intersection. Turn left, and follow this road for a couple miles. The graves are located on a ridge and are quite visible.
The town of Yermo had once been name "Otis", after General Harrison Gray Otis, the founder of the Los Angeles Times. Persons buried here are assumed to be Yermo residents. I visited this cemetery on March 17, 2001.
