From the intersection of Rt. 484 and State Road 200 SW, go south on Rt. 200 approximately 1 mile. Turn right on SW 147th Lane (147th Lane is a dirt road). Go one mile to Cedar Grove Cemetery.

First United Methodist Church, Dunnellon, Florida has owned the Cedar Grove Church property since 1860 when Cedar Grove was a mission church. The cemetery most likely started shortly thereafter.

The church stills stands but is no longer in use. The cemetery is virtually full, however, occasionally a new burial occurs by descendants who have family members buried there. The cemetery is kept in very good condition.

All visible and legible tombstone inscriptions were copied on Oct 17, 2003 by members of the Oak Run Genealogy Club, Ocala, FL. 34481. The transcribers were Rita Breeding, Peggy Cornish, Frank Cowherd, Norma Cowherd, Frazier Crane, Frances Lane, Paul Minard, and Sheila Minard. I have compiled this transcription from these readings.
