To reach the Salem Cemetery from Nickerson, drive west for about 3 miles on State Highway 96 (82nd Ave). Turn left or south onto Salem Road for about 2 miles, then go abubt 1/8 mile east on 56th Avenue. The cemetery sits on the north side of the road.

The Salem Cemetery is fairly small & is surrounded by cedar trees. The Salem Church who owns and maintains this cemetery, is located on the northwest corner of Salem Road & 56th Avenue. The cemetery is well maintained & appears to be still active.

I walked and read this cemetery on Aug 30, 2008. It includes all existing and legible headstone readings at that time.
