Schreiner Cemetery
Dorrance, Russell County, Kansas

Lat: 38° 45' 13"N, Lon: 98° 34' 38"W
Plymouth Twp, R11W Sec 17

Contributed by Arlene White, Jan 16, 2004.  Total records = 14.

To reach cemetery, drive south 7 miles south out of Dorrance on 200th Blvd. The cemetery will be on your left or east side of the road.

This appears to be a family cemetery but I have found no information about it's ownership or beginnings as yet.

There are several other broken markers and markers without names or dates. The cemetery is somewhat overgrown but appears to be accepting burials.

Some stones use German terms of 'geb' for born and 'gest' for died.
*German for years, months, days.

I have transcribed from legible markers by visual inspection, which was completed on Aug 12, 2003.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
