Howell Homestead Cemetery
LaRue County, Kentucky

Contributed by Edward Benningfield, Jun 06, 2000 [knobcreekboy@mindspring.com]. Total records = 3.

Howell Homestead Cemetery is located on west fork of Otter Creek in southeast LaRue County. It was visited by William T. Smith and copied in early 2000. It has at least twenty fieldstones that have no inscription. Many of the people buried here are believed to be early pioneers. Only two readable stones and the cemetery is overgrown with bushes and cedar trees. To find it, take Hwy. 210 southeast toward Campbellsville, turn left on Herbert Howell Road. Go down Salsman Hill and turn right at the bottom of the hill. Continue on that road until it dead ends at a farm gate and the cemetery is up the hill to the left of the gate.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
