Braintree town hall on Washington Street turn onto Central Street off Washington westerly at Town Hall goes to Franklin Street. Should you not turn on to Franklin Street you will be in Cemetery.

Lakeside Cemetery is located between Sunset Lake, once known as Little Pond, and Franklin Street.

The first owner was E. Potter in 1874 the next owner was Annie M. Potter and Frannie A. (Potter) Leland. It was then transferred to Nellie I Hannaford in 1905. In 1928 was transferred to Clarence R Bestick and then to C. Earle Bestick and finally to Earle A. C. Bestick.

It is still a family owned and maintained cemetery, and still has lots for sale.

The information that follows is from the head stones, burial records, and family records. It is complete up to 1999 when I completed the work.
