Summers Family Cemetery
Ellerton, Frederick County, Maryland

Ward Cline & Church Hill Rds, Myersville, MD

Lat: 39° 31' 35"N, Lon: 77° 33' 18"W

Contributed by Jan Duffy, Oct 29, 2001, last edited Jan 03, 2007 [nefret1999@yahoo.com]. Total records = 17.

From Frederick, take Rt 40 west to Rt 17-Wolfsville Rd. Turn Right toward Wolfsville. Make left turn onto Church Hill Rd. Take Church Hill Rd. to Ward Kline Rd. It is on high bank at that intersection.

The stones are eroded and unlegible. The gravestones sit in rows. There are approximately 16-17 stones.

I personally surveyed the cemetery in 1998. The information is also published in Holdcraft's Names in Stone.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
