Starting from Rolla exit #184, travel west approximately 15 miles to J Highway, exit #169. At top of ramp turn left going over the overpass. Travel approx 9.3 miles on J Highway. Once you pass the junction of M Highway you go over a bridge and turn left onto gravel road, just after crossing a bridge at the Spring Creek Barn (no road number available).

Note: the building across the road from the Spring Creek Barn were old slave quarters for the plantations further up the road. Continue on this road approx 5 miles bearing to the right. You will pass a historic two story white house. The road leading up the hill to the cemetery is just beyond.

The road is up a very steep hill, and I would recommend walking up this road instead of trying to drive unless you have 4 wheel drive. Be sure to ask permission before going to the cemetery. There will be three houses together just before you arrive, stop and request permission to visit the cemetery.

This cemetery was originally the Relfe Cemetery, but is also known as Spring Creek Cemetery since it is in that township, Coppedge Cemetery and Freeman Cemetery because of family buried there.

This cemetery is very over grown and would need a lot of work to bring it back into shape. A lot of the stones are almost beyond reading. The cemetery looks like no one has taken care of it in years however there are burials up to 1987.

Denise and Mike Seevers and I walked this entire cemetery in November 2004. I do have pictures of the stones if anyone is interested.
