This cemetery is located in the Joseph community, which is located ten miles southwest of Kosciusko and four miles southwest of McAdams. To reach take Hwy 14 West from Kosciusko, turn left onto Attala County Road 4045. Turn left at 2nd driveway, as there is no clear road. Follow the trail appox .10 of a mile into the woods. Trail dead ends at the cemetery.

The area was established by Mr. J. W. F. Guyton who had moved there from a former home three-fourths of a mile away around 1889. He and Charlie Morgan established a saw mill, a gin and a store. Mr. Guyton also kept the Post Office from 1894 until it was combined into a rural route from Sallis. Around 1904 the Bethel School was established at Joseph, with some calling it Joseph school. In 1919 the school was consolidated with McAdams. It is presumed the cemetery dates back to the late 1800s, judging from the dates on the stones.
