We'll start our trip to this cemetery from Lucedale, Mississippi. Take highway 26 west out of Lucedale and go to the intersection with highway 57 north in Benndale, Mississippi. Head north on highway 57 and you will go approximately 10 miles, New Life Baptist Church will be on your right. Take the Breland Road to the right between the church parking lot and the New Life cemetery.

The cemetery belongs to the New Life Baptist Church and they provide the maintenance for it. The cemetery is surrounded by a chain link fence and is in very good condition. This is a fairly new cemetery, with the first burial in 1993.

I walked this cemetery on Oct 30, 2007. All information was taken from headstone inscriptions and temporary grave markers.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
