Rochester is located about 10 miles northwest of Twin Bridges on Rochester Creek.

This small abandoned cemetery was the cemetery for an early mining camp which eventually became a ghost town. The cemetery has been abandoned since about the 1930s. There is one burial in 1998, but most are in the early 1900s.

There were at least 11 unknown markers here, 3 unreadable stones and others with little or no data, plus unmarked graves.

My husband and I walked and recorded all visible stones in the summer of 2006. This is a complete recording as of Aug 12, 2006.
