From Hwy 64 East, take Wendell Exit to Wendell Blvd. Turn right on N. Buffaloe St. which will become Poole Road. Follow Poole Rd. west through flashing light. Central Baptist will be on your right, continue on Poole Road which turns a bit southwest another short distance, the cemetery will be on your right or the north side of the road. Distance from Wendell 2.1 mi.
The cemetery is owned and maintained by Central Baptist Church which is at 11109 Poole Rd., Wendell, NC, 27591. The cemetery is located at the site of the original church which was built in 1925, which is about one-tenth of a mile west of the present church. There is a brick facade at the entrance to the cemetery, resembling a rural church.
The cemetery, which is about 3 1/2 acres, is in very good condition, and is kept clean and mown. There is room for more graves. There are some graves covered by granite slabs and also some with brick and concrete above-ground mausoleums and are so noted.
