Antioch Cemetery
Valle Crucis, Watauga County, North Carolina

Lat: 36° 14' 48"N, Lon: 81° 49' 56"W

Contributed by Carl W Dykes, Nov 04, 2006 [cwdykes@charter.net]. Total records = 12.

Antioch Cemetery is located on the Old Watauga River Road in the community of Valle Crucis. Old Watauga River Road is connected to US Hwy 321 north of the cemetery.

This small cemetery is located beside the road and can be accessed through a large steel gate. The cemetery is fenced and appears to be well maintained.

The history and ownership of this cemetery is unknown but it appears to be on private property. No contact information is available. None of the stones appear to be broken or mutilated.

I completed reading and transcribing this small cemetery from all existing and legible headstones and markers on Oct 28, 2006.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
