To reach this cemetery from Springview, drive south on Hwy 187 for 2 miles. Turn east or left onto Nebraska Hiway 7 and continue for 4 miles, turn right or south for one mile and then left or east for 1/4 mile. The cemetery will be on your left or north side of the road.

Highland Cemetery is situated on land deeded to the Highland Cemetery. It is also known as the "Ford Cemetery" named, presumably after the first person buried in this cemetery and likely on land owned by the Ford family. Upkeep is provided by descendents of the Ford family.

I transcribed this from my visit to the cemetery. This includes all existing and legible stones and markers up to my visit on Apr 08, 2007.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
