History

Prospect Hill Cemetery was founded in 1854 and encompasses over 50 acres. The land was originally donated by the Veeder Family, with John P. Veeder creating the Association's bylaws. It's possible the Veeders had been using it as a burial ground before then. The cemetery has a burial vault that was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
